This letter was sent to around 30k alumni as part of a multi-channel fundraising effort, which included social posts, texting, email, and the letter you see here. The fund is designed to provide grants to students who cannot afford tuition in their final years of college due to acute financial hardship. I interviewed the student, wrote the letter, and coached her to make several solicitation and thank you videos. This one piece in a series that I wrote helped raise over 600k dollars in student support during FY21.
